Made To Be Layered!
Though many will want to wear this scent as is, it really shines when combined with Mega Flora and La Tiera Mojada! That's right folks, this series of fragrances; Mega Flora, TerraPreta and La Tiera Mojada , are to be mixed and matched! Essentially, when you apply these products you are constructing the rain forest from the ground up! Layer away!
Ex. Shave with Terra Preta then chase with a splash of Mega Flora and then add a spritz of La Tierra EDP...or try it the other way around for a different ratio! I highly encourage you to mix it up and experiment. Like using a stereo equalizer you can tweak out the overall scent to your own specs!
Colloidal Clay & Bamboo Charcoal or Formula CK-6+
That's right folks, we decided to try something different with our beloved Formula CK-6 and add a little Terra Preta starter to it!
Fun Fact: Two Key Ingredients in Terra Preta (the real stuff) is Charcoal & Clay!
Colloidal Clay (Sodium Bentonite) which, when mixed with water, forms a gelatinous-like liquid which, in shave theory, adds to glide and slickness. You see, sodium bentonite expands when wet, absorbing as much as several times its dry mass in water. It is also develops an earthy odor when wet adding to the depth of the scent profile in a similar fashion the vetiver does in the aftershave!
Bamboo Charcoal or Activated Charcoal is the second part of this super slurry power-pack! Not only is it thematic to what we are going for here in our homage to this epic, Amazonian mud, but it also adds to the already most awesome performance of our CK-6 Formula. When combined with this base and colloidal clay it creates an unstoppable mud slide of Slick!
Know Your Roots
Each bottle of Terra Preta contains clippings of the Indian Vetiver Plant, that not only add a thematic, otherworldly visual element, but also in time, a depth to the aftershave/cologne through a slow tincturing process, set at a steady rate by the addition of the Vetiver Hydrosol.
The root is first soaked in the hydrosol to swell up and reconstitute the root so that when added to the alcohol it may better penetrate into the cellular tissue and absorb more of the aroma.
What Is Terra Preta?
Terra Preta or Amazonian Dark Earth (ADE) is really something special when it comes to our human history on this planet and real signs of ancient tech! That's right, it's highly probably that this particular soil was created by ancient scientists over 8000 years ago!
