The Gibbs Regable from Heritagecollectionshaving.

I was bummed that I missed out on getting a Flexi when Maggard had a sale, even thought about emailing and seeing if he would cut me a deal... didn't really like how heavy it is though. I had completely forgot about this, but perfect timing and it's half the weight! My first "Gibbs!" 
(I got the aluminium)

I wish that the XL model with the longer handle had an option for the black handle. Hopefully it'll be an option later, the black handle just looks better to me.

Not sure I would expect any of these replicas to shave exactly like the originals.  Razors have a bit of chaos theory built in; tiny little changes in initial conditions can lead to vast differences in the shave. 

Interested to hear shave reports, but imagining this thing will shave as smoothly as the original Gibbs is a bit, um, overly rosy (imo).

Well, I gave in and ordered the regular length, anodized black handled one. I wanted to wait and see reviews, but I had FOMO - ?. I didn’t know how many the first run was going to have. We shall see how it shaves. ?? Now the wait!

Ordered the longer handle as I already have original Gibbs, truly among the smoothest tools out there. The original Gibbs replica is offered but I use the longer (92 mm) heavier brass extension from Clouds for my shaves. Regarding the prototype it was excellent but because you could adjust the gap with the dial and handle it was confusing/finicky to use. 

I hope Neil is successful with this Gibbs replica especially after Yaki stole his design/work (not nice but that’s what they do over there) so for $55 I am in.

Only took 2 years to get to the first pre-order....

With that said if this shaves anything like a real Gibbs the price they are sellng these at is a downright bargain.
