The 50 Caliber Cart.

Hi guys
Made this a couple of weeks ago. I have a bunch of these casings and thought "Why not a razor handle?". I had a number of the Mach3 heads and found a perfectly fitting screw adapter thing at Home Depot. So I epoxied everything together and voila! This is going to be a xmas gift...but I do have a bunch of these shells to work with. I'm currently trying to find a way to adapt the shell to a DE head. The only thing is...you cannot take these in your carryon when traveling by air. They will confiscate this. I think you can bypass this if it's in your checked luggage. 
It's a nice weight at 68 grams so not awkward to hold etc. Fun to shave with and you can let the handle develop a patina or polish to stay shiny.

I forget what caliber but had a cartridge Injector razor at one time that I enjoyed but moved along in a weak moment which tends to happen with me.......

Done that, thought it looked like a clown razor, felt stupid in the hand, never shaved with it.

45/70 is perfect.

A bit off topic but this is my re-purposed .50 cal cartridge: A bottle opener. A gift from a group I was involved in, but the company that manufactures them is Bullets to Bandages. Not sure they are still active as a business. 

I get it. Not everyone may like the size etc of this casing...BUT, I can tell you it's not a big concern as to the manoeuverability of said razor and the overall "feel" of the razor....this is just my opinion.

Three inches or less is best for an agile maneuverable razor, with the center of mass an inch or so below the head.

Lots of people like and enjoy a razor handle that's longer or larger, it's just a personal decision that's not dictated by anyone else.
