I'm curious if anyone has both a Roswell and one of the similarly colored knots (Shaveforge Stone Gray, APShaveCo Silk Smoke, Turn N Shave Hawk, etc.).  But if you can compare the Roswell to a 24 or 26mm Cashmere or Tuxedo, that could also be helpful.

I just set a 24mm Shaveforge Stone Gray and White knot (which is actually closer to taupe or khaki in color than gray).  It has a huge glue bump giving it a ton of backbone.  I also picked up a 24 mm Shaveforge Black and Grey knot that feels much closer to my beloved 24mm APShave Co Tuxedo and Cashmere knots.

Anyone know if that's typical of these Gray/Tan and White synthetics and if the Roswell follows suit there?  I just saw that Doug is offering just the knots, so I'm considering picking one up for my next brush, but I'll probably pass if it's going to be similar to the one from Shaveforge.

The PAA Roswell knot is one of my top favorites. Not sure if it’s because of how it’s set in the handle but I find it gives the best lather production of all of my brushes (Paladin badger, elite razor badgers, and motherlode knot). It has the perfect mix of backbone/splay/softness for me. Asked them before if they sold the knots separately and they told me no so I’m glad I found your post. Just ordered a few of the knots in both sizes. I got the hawk knot from turn and shave but it ended up being too dense and didn’t splay very well for me. Gunna see if the 26mm Roswell is same deal or not since the Starcraft is 24mm. I’ve tried 3 different turn and shave knots now and haven’t liked any of them. If your looking for the softest synthetic possible check out Oumos motherlode knot. That and the Roswell have become my favorite synthetics so far. Haven’t tried any of the high end synthetics yet tho.

Here's the knot:

It's (the knot) of the latest generation and the best there is at this point in time with mere subtle differences in the type, e.g., Mew Brown./SynBad, Cashmere & Tuxedo.
