I'd be curious how the reviewers make due without using an alum block. Also with 8 open comb teeth I wonder how people will find the shave. Just some ideas to look out for. Good luck all with the pass around.

I SAID THE EXACT SAME THING AS I OPENED THE PARCEL!

FWIW……..Oddly, the handle is NOT slippery when wet.  It’s matte finish is peculiar too, it’s almost as if it provides a knurl. Coupled with the weight at 62g, it’s NOT hard to hold nor becomes slippery. I’m a shower shaver so my hands don’t get a break from being wet

Its important to know how clumsy I am too…… I’m NOT a good holder of flashlights

Excellent stuff as usual.

It's definitely a razor worth trying, however I do prefer the SS over the titanium. Neither open comb is inherently aggressive/too efficient. I've tried almost every combination with the Masamune handle in both SS and titanium. The handle is excellent for grip - I'm sure the Nodachi is as well.

Can you say any more about the prototype? They are also thinking about a single edge - but in the early stages, so don't expect to see anything for a long while.

I’m glad you posted this Feds, I’m the exact opposite on this razor ONLY, I prefer the Ti here.  I’m NOT keen on titanium razors.  I WANT to press.  This one is so feather lite it feels like a travel disposable. There’s a reason why I don’t post any images or dialogue about Wolfie Ti’s…… I haven’t yet felt the one gap or handle combo that works for “ME.” This one at 62g works for me, as does the mystery of its base plate.

I’m laser cutting the base plates in half and super gluing them to make a DC, lol, you want one? Don’t want to make a DC, cool.  This goes for Shane at Blackland too, don’t want to make a Blackbird DC? No problem, I’ll make two at work…lololol

Haha, bet I could convince Tatara to make a DC base for you if serious

Can you get them to make a GEM razor at the same time?

I'm sure Rob is serious about the DC - he loves a dual comb.
