Those wanting the efficiency of the Nodachi baseplate but are looking for a more comfortable shave try the Masamune cap.

I liked the Nodachi when I used it on the passaround, but have wondered what I would get if I wanted slightly less blade feel - a Masamune cap to use with the Nodachi baseplate or a Masamuni baseplate to use with the Nodachi cap. Does anyone have experience with both combinations?

Slightly would be Masamune baseplate, more would be Masamune topcap

Nodachi + Masamune cap = -0.03
Masamune + Nodachi cap = neutral

Nodachi and Masamune cap has less blade feel (but the larger gap). I find this combination the most comfortable of the two.
However, I prefer full Masamune or Masamune OC when I skip a day.

Anybody know if there are any new razors from Tatara in the works? I saw mention by Fedsbackhand in another thread that there may be an adjustable in the works. Thanks
