It can easily be a daily driver for me. In fact, it's become one of my top 3 razors only surpassed slightly by my 1.55 WR2 and the RS-10 which is saying a lot. I find the nocachi much smoother than the Carbon and Charcoal Goods L2. I was not expecting to be this impressed by this razor, but I sure am now. I have the nodachi with the original masamune handle and the aesthetics of the razor are also beautiful and unique.

These are quite come claims. Have you done a side by side, just out of curiosity? Also, how would it compare to the CGLVL3?

Thanks for sharing you views!

No side by side as I sold the CG some time ago and I've never used a L3. But I do remember selling it because it wasn't as smooth as I'd like.
Remember how subjective and personal all of this stuff is. I make no guarantees lol.
But seriously, the nodachi broke into the top 3 for me.

This razor seems to be more subjective than most. The reviews range from smooth and efficient to rough and aggressive. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone say that it’s not efficient though. I can’t wait for my turn on the pass around to try it out.

A quick report: just did a side by side with my CG Lvl3. Nacet blades in both. CG turned out to be I bit more aggressive and a very little more efficient with minor irritation on the neck. Nodachi required a few additional strokes to clean up though. Both sides - BBS.

Is this passaround open to another?

Where has the wayward Nodachi gone? Does anyone know? It's been over a week and not a word. Curious.

I'm also very interested in trying the Nodachi

The pass-around Nodachi has been received by the next on the list last week. Hopefully, we will hear from him soon.

You can remove me from the list, I am not sure even you added me or not.
Or even a list available. But whatever, I just ordered a Nodachi, and I don't need to get the pass-around razor.

You are in for a treat! The Nodachi became my second most favorite razor after the Blackbird.
