Excellent to hear that it adjusts both the gap and exposure. That is a huge selling point for me. I'm hoping it has a good range on the dial and can get plenty aggressive.

You might want to read post #57 to see if it would be aggressive enough, for you.
Of course, the only way to verify this is to actually try it, for oneself.
I've been contemplating doing so, but it is a bit expensive to do so, unfortunately, for me.

Good luck.

I think calling it a Nodichi at the highest setting remains to be seen. The specs say it's at least slightly more aggressive, and of course the razor design itself can make a huge difference, as we all know.

I am still awaiting my invoice, look forward to trying it as I really enjoy my Nodachi top cap with the Masamune baseplate

Yes. I completely concur and it will be a pleasant surprise if it is more efficient as it is truly a beautiful razor. Smile

I’ve got one shave in the books, and am waiting for another before posting more.

I will say the blade feels more clamped and rigid than any other razor I’ve used. The balance is perfect, and my satisfaction surprised me since I typically enjoy longer handles.

WTG 4 (positive exposure)
Across 3 (neutral exposure)
Against 3

I was in a rush and prep wasn’t great. The results were though! I’ll report back tomorrow. Will try setting 5 on 48 hours growth.

Can you put something between the sliding plates and the plate over them? like bigger plastic washer to shim the plate?

In future, if he add a spring between them and add one more dial sign on the handle, he can make the razor double adjustable.
Like Marumasa + Rocnel..
