Synthetic Fan-Shaped/Face Lathering Brush

In photo 2 my favorite synthetic brushes. Vie-long is the "golden mean" between Muhle Silvertip Fibre and Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic Badger. Moderately soft and elastic, allows you to beat a lot of foam from any soap in a short time, really like how it whills on your face. The second is Cashmere's brush from AP ShaveCo. It feels as if you carry a feather on the skin, very gentle and soft, but whip the foam, as the mixer whip the cream.) I've been shaving lately, preferring this synthetics.

Anybody have experience with the TurnNShave quartermoons?

Yes, I had a custom one by Milton in the "quarter moon" Tuxedo style and quite frankly it was the best brush I've ever used. I sold it however to a buddy who wanted it badly. Buy one. Trust me.  

I couldn't agree more. I too have one of Milton's "quartermoon" brushes with a custom handle and it too is the best brush that I own and I have quite a few. Milton makes great brushes and is a real pleasure to deal with. Prices are real good too.

I just ordered a custom 30mm quartermoon from Milton and he is absolutely phenomenal to work with. Very responsive and gives great feedback and insight and he's more than fair on his prices. Looking forward to getting the brush in the next couple of weeks - more than likely it won't be my last custom order from him...
