It is not really an issue with the Supply since you can unscrew the razor head and hand load a blade. The reason for the blanks was if you load a razor without a blade in it depending how the key lines up or other issues you can ruin the edge of the blade if it runs across the blade stops on the guard. It also wears the stops down over time to the point they don't hold the blade anymore either.

I recall reading on one of the forums out there (possibly on here) where people have had their stops cut off of their razors from the blade being inserted..I can't remember if it was an injector having this problem or older GEM style razors though.

It is only the injector razors and only when you use a key. As long as you are careful about loading the blades it shouldn't be an issue. Gem style blade razors are all loaded by hand.
