I had read a review of a few blades to try and the Super Max were one that interested me. I gave one a first spin today using my Lupo .95.

Method:  Three pass shave finishing with ATG and even some buffing in my hard to get areas
Result:  BBS
Overall:  7.0 out if 10

My abbreviated review criteria:
Blade Sharpness: 7 out of 10. It did feel sharper towards the end but I had some togging on my iron whiskers early into the shave
Blade Smoothness: 7 out of 10.  The blade felt a bit rough during the first half of shave. I do expect it to be better tomorrow.
Blade durability:  TBD. This was the first use.  Will not count in scoring

Would I buy again:  TBD but compared to London Bridges , Kai, and 7 o’clock super platinum blades , they don’t compare based on my first shave.

Your 2nd. shave should be smoother, and more comfortable since you stropped the blade on the 1st. shave.

Like you, I have some very tough beard hairs.

I have not tried the Super-Max platinum, but do like the Super Max Blue Diamond Platinum. There is also a Blue Diamond Titanium blade that might be worth checking out.

Thanks Chevy guy! Totally agree!

RayClem , thank you. I am sure it was one of your posts thst got me looking at this brand. The ones I had said made in India. Definitely not bad, but in comparison to other sharp blades I like, they are not the winner on round one. Btw, thanks for all you do on your reviews!!!

Just a quick update. Literally a few hours after my shave, I noticed really bad razor burn at work. Given that I use the exact same soap almost every day as well as the same razor, it points to the blade. I will time back and use my Gamechanger.84 with a Kai for a few days and give these blades a go once more.

How did the 2nd shave go?, any reduction with the razor burn?.
