Nice to meet a fellow sensitive skinned guy! I'm not sure if I can definitely pick out which fragrances in general do it. I've had some products give redness, bumps or dry/irritated skin. And if it is bad enough, I get burning almost immediately. I hesitate to write which products fall into these categories publically, because my skin is different than everyone else. However, if you'd like to compare notes, we can continue in a PM!

But yes lately I've been leaning more towards an unscented balm, partly due to sensitivities, but also that you have flexibility to match with lots of different soaps.

If you can get your hands on some, I highly recommend this particular product from Nivea. A 2in1 aftershave/balm that is really, really good. Been using it exclusively for almost 2 weeks. The real deal. Very lightly scented, nice soothing and tingly feeling. Hardly no burn or bracing effect. Best of both worlds imo....

Not available here in the US. Only available in the UK and European markets sadly. You can get it online via suppliers overseas. I obtained mine through an Ebay seller. If you look at the bottle, there's German lettering on it. Don't know where you're from, but just giving you a heads up.....

you might be allergic to the fragrance that are in them. most use synthetic fragrance which can affect sensitive skin. look for ones that use natural essential oils. also avoid long hot showers as this pulls the moisture out of the skin. I would try aloe gel and glycerin mixture as they are good humectant.

Thanks for the mention. Our unscented balm maybe just what you're looking for if you have issues with fragrances/EO's. Try it, you'll like it. Thanks to Freddy's inspiration, I've been using our unscented balm as an undercoat for some old school aftershaves.

Yeah I need to try the unscented version. Unfortunately the casino royale burned immediately upon usage. My skin sucks. Lol

How do you like the unscented soap then? Was the Casino Royale a sample?

I think I misstated. My wife has the citrus balm, which I think it very similar to casino royale. But nonetheless it didn't work out well.

I haven't tried the unscented soap yet.
