I haven't tried his soaps, but his creams are awesome. David is a great guy, as well.

any recommendations?

It's a very firm soap. I find it works best when bloomed & it's more important than with some to rinse between passes.

Re scents, my personal favorite is Suede de Kashmir, a warm spice scent.
