Guys this is just for informational purposes and I'm not trying to sell anything at all.  As you may know, in the past I have not been a big fan of Stirling soaps.  To me they always had a side odor that was sort of off putting.  At any rate, a month or so ago I ordered Sharp Dressed man and I liked it quite a bit. I did not pick up on any of the side odor at all.  Additionally, I saw where Stirling changed its lanolin supplier to reduce that animal type smell I mentioned before.

Today I was cruising around on their site and noticed they were having sale.  I ended up ordering three soaps in tubs and the total with shipping was $26.  That's not bad.  Check it out if interested.

So those that purchased the earlier batches (with the new tubs) received the old batch of ingredients? Do you know if he'll be making a remake of them? I feel kind of duped because I just purchased some of the soaps that are now on sale - not only are they cheaper now, but it seems that the new ones will have the new ingredients.

To be honest I do not know.  I talked to Rod and he said that it's important to leave the cap off the tubs for a while to let the soaps cure a bit longer.  This is supposed to be very helpful in resolving some of the old issues.  wizzard21 You may want to contact Rod directly.

I'm fairly certain the ingredient change occurred after the distribution of the new tubs began. His ingredient vendor shake-up came in mid-May, while the tubs debuted last month if I recall correctly... I have it in a spreadsheet somewhere... I'll have to look and see if I can find it.

At any rate, I would do as Chris has mentioned and contact Rod. He's always been great about taking care of people.

Thank you! I have only one Stirling soap. Not crazy about the smell but love the performance. Will check out the sale.

Hopefully you ordered iced pineapple and island man. Those don't have that animalistic scent you refer to which I can pick up on some of their soaps. But those two summer scents are amazing. The iced pineapple is like someone cut up pineapple smashed it into the tub and threw on some menthol crystals on top. It's an amazing scent.
