I bought this from Yminoh, and I can’t thank him enough. This is my first DE and he was kind enough to throw in a bunch of different blades for me to try. Just a super nice guy!

these are GREAT shavers....and the new gen baseplates are rumoured to be smoother.

Had my first shave with it this morning. It was very intuitive to find the angle and generally quite forgiving. It almost seemed like I could not cut myself if I tried. Of course I’m coming from an Asylum RX which is pretty unforgiving. Three passes and it was BBS.

It will be interesting to see what Brian comes out with for his next gen plate. I’d like to get one of his razors in combination brass and copper, so I’ll probably pick one up when it’s available.

I think the razor you've featured is the one with the new gen plate...it can't be more than 5-6 weeks old.

Oh, interesting. I seem to remember reading that he had some new things in the pipeline for release in the late summer. I thought that was the new design you were speaking of. Yes. I believe this is the current generation plate (V.2?). I don't have a V.1 to compare it with, but it was amazingly smooth and easy to shave with compared with what I'm used to.

small differences....better grip on the blade, hence appears a tad smoother....audio feedback a bit muted.

I have the version before....love it....but if you've got one, you dont need the other IMO

Good to know Tester28, thank you. once CG opens back up I'll probably go shopping for a different handle, as the torpedo seems a bit out of proportion to my eye. That's small potatoes though... It really is a nice shaver. Thanks a million for the good information!

That is absolutely beautiful! I see you were also able to get one of the elusive polished ones. Very nice! I am thinking something similar... Perhaps copper for the plate, but after seeing yours, definitely stainless for the handle and cap.

Out of curiosity how long ago did you pick that beauty up? It really is absolutely gorgeous!
