Today while walking on our treadmill I watched some of a Syfy channel movie called Leprechaun's Revenge, so terrible that it was kind of good. The heroine character was a young lass with red hair, of course. And the townsfolks' main weapon against the vicious leprechaun monster was some "lucky" iron horseshoes, which eventually lost their luck and quit working, unfortunately. We just have so much great culture....
