SOTD - To much info? Bragging?

YOU are the little punks. You get all in a bunch because someone comes along who doesn't care that you have a few grand in shaving products in the bathroom next to the crapper, your the ones who are threatened because im NOT a fanboy like you are.

Im all about the shave. Your all about the self given prestige of using a 50$ soap and a 300$ razor. I couldn't care at all what you use or what it cost. I get better shaves using little old tabac and Palmolive and erasmic and a 20$ razor made in 1944.

I started to read through this thread and was surprised by so much negativity.  Why anyone would look at pics that they find irritating confounds me.

And you are only showing that you have not taken even the slightest bit of time to peruse the forum and get a feeling for it, before creating this self-induced paranoia that everyone is against you. If you HAD taken the time, you would know that nobody actively participating here cares one iota about the things you think we do. None of us.

And even if some of us do, it doesn't matter, because there is still mutual respect, appreciation, and comeraderie around wet shaving.

You choose to isolate and alienate yourself from that. Nobody is doing that here, on this forum, except you, yourself...

Minuteshaver, exactly what are you hoping to learn from DFS and its members?  So many of us have tried so much to draw out what excites you about wet shaving and you have pretty much rebuffed us all.  Insulting people ("Aww how sad, the big bald man made a threat over his keyboard. Oh heavens how the self promoting video god of youtube behaves like a little punk.") and then claiming you are the one being insulted makes no sense.  Chris (BadDad), has added immeasurably to the site by offering insights into his travels through his wet shaving experiences, offering help to other members, and being generous through PIFs while asking nothing in return. You have insulted others, as well, yet have offered almost nothing positive to the site.  

DFS isn't perfect and we do our best to correct mistakes as we see them occur.  Because we may not correct your perceived notions of insults to you does not mean we haven't tried.  Take a look at what most of the members have posted about some of your comments and I think you will see that they are trying to get threads that you have derailed back on track.  The chances you have been given here to be a productive member go above and beyond, in my opinion.  Join us or not but please stop insulting anyone who may respectfully disagree with you.

Welcome to your lifetime vacation.

I hope he enjoys his vacation and I hope  none of you SOTD freaks will get discouraged by the Minuteman buzzkill. We are lazy to be taking pics every day and post them, but we do appreciate the effort of those that are so far out of bounds disciplined to do that on a daily basis, props to all SOTD  posters!

He wasn't here to learn anything, he was here to vent. Some people feel good and think they are someone important if they bash other people or things. Not everybody is on an even keel.

I always thought the pictures in the SOTD threads were bragging about photographic skills. Bragging, sure, but no harm done and a lot of people entertained. Perhaps some are even inspired by what they see.

I've always looked at the SOTD posts as sharing rather than bragging. I get lots of enjoyment and the odd idea as well, like this evening I spotted a post with a bay rum aftershave I'd not seen before. Benjamin's Bay Rum. So I searched for it, found it and bought it. Under $4.00 for 8oz, what a deal, I bought two, one mentholated one not. Viva SOTD!
