I got an offer from an artisan to sponsor a giveaway on my channel when I'm ready, so without her knowing, I purchased a tin of her soap to test it and check the performance. If it is as good as it is supposed to be, there will be a sponsored giveaway on my channel in the very near future. She does not know that I bought the soap yet...I dont want any obligations from anyone, so I figured best to buy the soap outright, first, so I have the experience with it before I talk about a giveaway...

Chris, I so appreciate you doing this.  I think I hurt the feelings of darkbulb (and others) or he thinks less of me for posting my thoughts on compensated reviews.  I am, in no way, casting aspersions on him and realize that he is doing what is right for him.  However, the fact that you have decided to truly blind test something before giving it your blessing speaks volumes to someone like me who is probably a bit of a skeptic (or sceptic, for those of you from the U.K. spellings of English ).  

darkbulb, I want you to know that I realize you are adding to the wet shaving community and please do not stop.  It is simply a road and each of us must travel it in his or her own way.
