I'm using the Pearl Flexi exclusively for a few days to get myself trained in DE rather the pivot action of my Leaf/Thorn combo. I think the Leaf allows you to be more consistent with the cartridge habits, and I'm trying to build muscle memory around proper DE shaves now. Once I feel more confident I'll work the Leaves back into the rotation. That said, I have the MOAMC's coming (Mother of All Mail Calls) - I *might* have gone a bit overboard...we'll see.
Shower: Stirling Honey Oatmeal Shea Butter soap
Preshave: Wash with PAA Cube 2.0, then add another layer of PAA Cube 2.0 over the top
Razor: Pearl Flexi set to 1.25
Blade: New Perma-Sharp
Bowl: Timeless
Brush: Meggard's synthetic
Soap: Cella Red
Post-shave: Cold rinse, alum block, cold rinse
After shave: Pinaud's Clubman
Post shave: Stirling Balm, unscented
No nicks today! Woohoo! Feeling better at it, getting a bit quicker, and soap lathering technique is satisfactory. The Perma-Shave blade seemed more forgiving than yesterday's Nacet blade. The alum wasn't bad, but the aftershave burned a bit.
