For some reason the soap made exceptionally good lather this morning. Perfect air temperature/pressure/humidity? Best water pH and temperature? Perhaps planets are in conjunction somewhere.

Continuing my exploration of soap makers and their soap bases, today I tried Zingari Man for the first time.
A friend sent me some Mousse Illuminee and man was I excited to try it. I've heard nothing but rave reviews of this soap's scent and the soap base so I need to find out for myself, right?
The soap's notes consist of tree moss, frankincense, green cypress, artemisia, laurel leaves, cedar white floral notes, and white musk. As you can see this is clearly a fougère, and an absolutely beautiful one at that I must say.
This scent is a collaboration with artisan perfumer Manuel Cross of Rouge Perfumery and let me tell you, they did an outstanding job! Mousse Illuminee smells SO good! It's obviously "green" but the blending of the notes has been done so well. This really is a high-end fragrance worthy of a premium price.
I opted to use my Henson AL13 ++ simply because it clamps blades so well. This is really important with blades that have seen a lot of uses like today's Eddison Super Stainless that's on its fifteenth use. Yep, this blade currently holds the crown for the longest lasting, most uses from a single blade.
This combo held up well, though I'm starting to see the end of the road for this blade. I think I can get a couple / few more shaves out of it but may toss it and just say whatever.
As far as the soap base goes, the Sego (tallow) soap base is insanely good. I can't express enough just how creamy, silky, and luxurious the lather is. There's legit residual slickness and cushion that felt really good. The bottom line is that I love it and recommend you try some if you never have before.
Pinaud Lime Sec was on order to finish today's shave and I have to say it did me right. This Eau de Cologne is unique but oh so good. If you like lime, you might want to consider picking this one up.
Alright, that's all I've got. Take care my friends and enjoy your shaves.
Prepare for mind control!

Good morning all! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
Great shave this morning! Went back to Dragonsbeard / ETHOS Grooming Essentials and his wonderful Tribute Series, "Shave MD" soap and splash. Excellent lather built with the Wild West Brushworks "REM Cycle" brush for two passes (+ touch-up) with the Tatara Masamune (I was in a rush this morning and just realized I used the wrong razor for the SOTD ) and I finished with the matching skin food splash and a spray (or four) of Giorgio Armani "Acqua di Gio" EdT. Excellent!
In other news, it looks as if we're moving right on into summer here so it's time to break out the warm weather scents.
Hope you have a great day.

Thanks, this helped me make the decision on tomorrow's shave for sure !
