Charles Darwin Birthday
Rooney 1/2 Faux Horn Finest (24/50)
Chicago shaving soap (vintage)
Paradigm 17-4
Wilkinson London Bridge (18)
Brooks Brothers aftershave
The old soap made excellent lather, especially for only costing $10. And even with the blade aging, the razor was very smooth and efficient.

Soap: Grooming Department Cedarwood
Brush: Elite Razor 26mm Manchurian White
Razor: Wolfman WR1 .61 SB
Blade: GSB
Aftershave: DR Harris Marlborough (a sampler)
BBS all the way -- to get here took my time and went for smooth as glass. Did get three tiny nicks for my effort but they resolved easily. Hours later still smooth. Sometimes fun to go for glass.

This was one of those shaves where everything clicked.
The Regenwald was slick, moisturizing, and carried a wonderful fragrance throughout the room. I’ve been trying to finish off some older soaps, but this blast of tropical air was just what I needed.
This was my first time using a Maol splash, and the results were superb! The maker is just more than an hour north of where I live, so not only do I get to shop local, but the performance was fantastic. Between the splash and the soap, I was ready to deal with the -20C weather today.
And to think I almost skipped today’s shave!
