12.12.20
Razor: Blackland Blackbird Ti Machined
Blade:  Personna Red (6)
Brush: Oumo 26 SHD Manchurian (Thanks Sourav!)
Pre-shave: Hot Water
Soap: Ethos Lavender
Post: Ethos Lavender splash/Cooper & French “Santa’s Workshop” balm/Cera Ve Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Result: BBS in two passes (WTG/ATG) with touch ups

Comments: First shave with the Ti Blackbird, which just arrived mid morning today.  Shane has done it again.  The lighter weight seems to tame the razor just a little bit without detracting from the incredibly close shave it provides.  I used a normal angle for WTG, riding the bar for ATG and riding the cap for touch ups.  That seemed to work very well.  The lighter weight allows greater control.  The machining is really impressive.  The pieces fit together beautifully.  I like the machined textured finish also.  It’s beautiful appearing and the handle feels more grippy than my polished ‘Bird.  The difference is not dramatic but it is noticeable.  The Ethos soap is just stellar, every single time.  Great fun to lather, great slick and cushion, mild on my skin, and a wonderful lavender scent with masculine undertones.  It’s truly a luxurious experience.  The Oumo brush was a great low price second-hand ($45) and in virtually new condition.  A comfortable handle and a big dense and plush fan knot with good backbone and a little bit ‘O scrub.  It blooms very dramatically too.  The C&C balm is terrific in small doses with a wonderful seasonal scent (cherry pipe tobacco, and smoke).  When combined with the Ethos lavender splash, it’s just great!  I must really like the Ethos splash because I’m getting through the bottle and will definitely be ordering more.  Overall, a great shave and lots of fun.

Seasons Greetings and Happy Shaves to All!

Thanks for the note. Yes, it's beautiful. One of my favorites both for appearance and for feel, although it's really much too big for me.
