Hello everyone! Hope you had pleasant evening.

Great shave this morning. Returned to Truefitt & Hill, this time going with their "Grafton" shave cream (another Christmas gift from the missus). Lovely spicy, green, floral scent and excellent lather built with the Rich Yuengel "Pit Viper" 24mm HD ST badger brush for two passes with '61 Gillette Fatboy and I finished with Brut "Original" AS & EdT.

Hope you have a great day. Smile

INTERESTING SHAVE

I have been shaving the last couple of weeks with the Athena SS.  I love the razor but was having issues with maneuverability.  Once I switched to a Titanium handle, everything changed for me.  All the shaves were just great.  So I decided to use the Blackland Blackbird Ti today and compare.  The Blackbird is a fantastic razor.  It is efficient and smooth.  BUT, the Athena is just as efficient, but more comfortable and smoother.  So, as a comparison, the ATHENA WINS.  That said, today's Blackbird shave was very good.  The only downside was the soap and the aftershave.  Neither is on a level with the Saponificio Varesino products.  The face feel of the aftershave was mediocre.  The soap was OK, not spectacular or as good as SV or Ethos, just OK.  You win some, you lose some.  I don't believe this combo will be in my regular rotation going forward.
