Retouched this edge on the Shoubudani using an Imperia la Roccia slurry stone. Best edge she's ever taken.

I just ordered this soap on Friday, can you tell me your thoughts with this shave soap?

The scent is captivating. Seriously, it is one of only 2 soaps thus far that has had me coming back to shove my face in the tub and inhale the fragrance. Absolutely spectacular. Easily my favorite tobacco scent, and tobacco scents are at the top of my list already. This one reigns supreme, for me. Starts off very reminiscent of Country CLub La Habana, which has long been my favorite tobacco scent. La Habana is a very bright and crisp tobaccos scent. This one has that same initial leaf tobacco, but is supported with a much darker and deeper musk from the amber. Truly a fantastic scent, in my opinion.
As for performance...it's no secret that I find Crowne & Crane soap to be top tier performers. This soap, in either formulation, sits right next to my B&M Lath, L&L Grooming, and Stirling. Those 3 brands take top shelf, front row in my den, and C&C has quickly moved in to sit front and center. Excellent performance all around. Easy to load, easy to lather, excellent slickness, and VERY resilient to water. God stuff!

Thanks for the feedback, sounds like wonderful stuff and I'm still trying to find a tobacco scent that truly draws my attention. Just got an email from USPS and looks like my order shipped out right after I ordered Friday and being delivered today.

Razor: Mongoose B2 w/Custom Made Handle (England)
Blade: Feather Pro (1)
Brush: Elite Razor "Tres Amigos" Desert Ironwood Beehive w/Envy White
Soap: Route 66 Cavendish
Aftershave: Folsom Shambala
Although the handle looks like it may be slippery, I found just the opposite. The Mongoose shaved very close and comfortable, with the only draw back being a build up of lather in the baseplate slots. The posts that secure the blade are short, however, it was not difficult to load and secure the blade.
Happy Halloween!!!

Merkur Slant 37C+Gillette Sharp Edge
Eufros Premium Ylang Ylang
Whipped Dog (handle)+Virginia Shaving 2 Band 23x50 brush
Tüff+Eufros Neutro (scentless)
Glorious and incident free three pass, BBS shave. Just after the WTG pass I replaced the blade, which was another Sharp Edge Gillette, by a fresh one, as I could feel it wasn't doing its job as supposed to, and I wasn't to risk an irritation due to a tired blade. It was its third use. With the Silver Blues I get three good shaves, not with these. The first two are excellent, but in the third one the loss of performance is noticeable. So off it went to the used blade bank and I went ahead with a fresh one.
If something is to be mentioned, that's the performance of the soap. After comparing it with all the other vegetal based soaps I've used, my humble opinion is that these Eufros Premium are the best ones to date. The mighty Martin de Candre just has a slight performance advantage in glide, but not in protection or post shave, and in general, I consider the Eufros a better soap.
