Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.
Late post but a great shave to start the day. Returned to my vintage Shulton "Old Spice" soap, ASL, talc & EdC. Wonderful old school scent and incredible lather built with the Simpson "Chubby" 1 Manchurian Badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '58 Gillette Super Speed and I finished with a splash of Quinn's Pink Grapefruit & Orange Rind witch hazel, followed by the matching aftershave lotion, talc & EdC.
Hope you have a great day.

A bit of extra shaving tonight.
(The back-story) On Hallowe'en day I wiped out on my e-bike (front wheel failed to climb back up onto the edge of the pavement when coming off the gravel shoulder), receiving a 2" diameter patch of road rash just below my knee. I didn't even see the blood under my denim jeans until I got home. I treated it with a generous amount of hydrogen peroxide. I had the presence of mind to use an electric trimmer on the hair around it so that the bandage would come off painlessly.
The "extra shaving" part was tonight. I decided to enlarge the hair-free patch on my knee so I brushed some lather onto it and shaved it with my razor. I expanded it to about 6" square.
I was quite amazed at how smooth it got in a single pass. I should've used an open-comb razor though, because I had to take it apart to unclog it.
