Queen Charlotte Soaps Rose Otto
Chatillon Lux Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli Toner
I recently pulled out Queen Charlotte Soaps Esquire and achieved an excellent lather, so I decided to try the Rose Otto shaving soap from the same company. I again achieved an excellent lather. This was a soap that I had kind of on the back shelf for a while. Honestly, my past experience with this soap was OK, but not excellent. I guess this just shows that it's worth revisiting many things in traditional wet shaving as my experience and technique improves, there are a lot of things that need to be revisited. This Queen Charlotte Soap shaving soap performed, well... excellently for me in the past two shaves. It's a really nice feeling to find a gem from the past that was really good, but my technique wasn't up to it in the past. I'm finding now that my lathering skills early on were not up to par and I didn't have the experience to truly judge this soap previously.

Ah, the much lamented Folsom & Co. Their Capri is one of the really great aftershaves out there.
