Brian, (having read your Mongoose and OneBlade journals and now seeing this) all I can say is you are a pioneer of blade longevity! Which is especially remarkable when using a tool whose manufacturer recommends changing the blade after each shave. Great stuff!

Much appreciated Matsilainen. To be fair, I'm not getting this longevity from the blade the manufacturer recommends. Wink

I hope you'll give SE shaving a try if you haven't already. Happy2

That'll do MR3 Neo, that'll do.

Feather MR3 Neo cartridge system
Plisson Faux Horn synth
PannaCrema Nuàvia Blu
Barrister & Mann Cologne Russe Tonique

I could really feel the multiple blades on my lower neck. While today's shave didn't give any immediate irritation, I can definitely see how some would accumulate if I used this razor for a few shaves in a row. Definitely a smooth shaver and I'm now tempted to pick up a Mach3 to compare.

My Gillette Guard should be in today so I'm curious if that one will be as smooth and efficient without the risk of accumulated irritation. Also, Feather makes a 2-bladed cartridge that I may need to pick up to try.

Now off to start a fun day of soccer and then dance recitals.

SOTD-02apr16:
British Gillette NEW LC(RFB!) / Gillette Super Stainless "the Spoiler" T4(1)
EnvyShave Alluminati Classic 25mm Envy White Fan Badger Brush
Haslinger Marigold Shaving Soap
B&M Classic Splash AS sample
Shea Butter

I haven't posted many SOTD shots this week as life as been busy, but I have been enjoying all of your pictures, so thank you!

This was actually a very special shave for me early this morning. The razor I used is one that has eluded me for over a year. It was actually worth the wait! This was probably the best DE shave ever for me! Wow, this British Gillette New(AKA: The RFB) is really nice and smooth, while remaining very efficient. I hope you folks can appreciate my long awaited acquisition and the absolutely fulfilling shave it provided. As much as I have been enjoying injectors, this razor and the Toggle are definitely going to stay in the rotation!

The shea butter was required after this shave, because I thought things were going so well that I kept shaving! I'm such a silly lad! My skin just can't take excessive shaving. It felt fine while I was at it, but I did end up with a little razor burn. I know better! Lesson learned.(I hope!)

Have a great day and enjoy your shaves!

I am not completely satisfied with the Feather 3 blade cart and need to try the 2 blade option as well.  My issue is more with the 3 blade clogging during use.  I do enjoy the Feather MR3 Neo and will be using it on my motorcycle trips going forward.

Spring Saturday
B&M Ferox reminds me of spring... It was my first B&M soap three years ago. I only have a little left, so I have to use it sparingly. I love the peppery grapefruit scent, and the tea tree is great for my skin. It whipped up as usual into slick protective lather at the behest of my HIS brush. I barely felt the Futur and Rapira SS demolishing my stubble. These blades are excellent! I guess I shouldn't be too surprised if they are made by the same folks who make Voskhod blades. I finished with Shea Moisture Shave Elixir to continue the grapefruit scent and tea tree goodness. My skin feels amazing.

All aboard for the Steampunk train!!

My first non MWF shave for a month and my first use of Tabula Rasa Steampunk. Its good stuff, can't quite put my finger on the scent but I get very subtle sweet wood scents. Unfortunately I under loaded the brush and pass 2 and beyond was a very austere experience but it worked great. From what I can see from my first lathering, this stuff is very soft and won't last long and for £19 ($27) a tub I probably won't buy it again. Having said that I had an irritation and redness free shave and it was a comfortable shave despite the lather thinning out quickly.
