•Pre Shave: Hot Shower & Dove + Men Face and body wash scrub deep clean rubbed into beard
•1940s Gillette Aristocrat
•Astra Superior Platinum (2)
•Razorock Tri Color Plissoft
•Palmolive Shave Cream Classic
•Warm then Cold Water Rinse
•Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue Aftershave
•Nivea Men Post Shave Balm Sensitive
•Music: Band: Death Album: The sound of Perseverance
Excellent shave. Not as much irritation on right jawline. The angle is much higher with Vintage Gillette TTO razors than modern razors. So to whoever told me this I thank you! Tunes was epic as well! 2 pass BBS or pretty close to it again. Not much burn if any from the aftershave! I do place this Gillette Aristocrat between a Gillette 40s style Super Speed and a Gillette Red Tip. Have a good day!

LNHC* Sandalwood Shaving Soap
RazoRock Tuscan Oud Aftershave
This LNHC Sandalwood soap provided me with another fairly easy lather that was thick, slick, and yogurty. This soap has not unseated any of my favorite soaps, but it is no slouch in its efficacy. The scent strength of the soaps I've bought from this maker have been on the lighter side of the spectrum. Maybe, 2.5/10. This doesn't bother me much, as I like to be able to smell the scent during the shave, but not necessarily after the shave. I usually rely on aftershaves and colognes for more longevity of the scent.
RazoRock Tuscan Oud Aftershave smells SO awesome! When I read Matthew's(Matsilainen) review of this aftershave, I was intrigued. After my wife's comment on it this morning("Mmmmm! You smell GOOD!"), I'm sold! It's not just me. It does smell good!
I know today's SOTD shot looks very familiar, but I'm looking to try out some new things here very soon.
*Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations: from here on out, to be known as "LNHC" by me.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Schick Type E Injector
Chick Blade (3)
Vulfix #1 Boar Brush
TOBS Sandalwood Shave Soap
TOBS Sandalwood AS
I love using the E type Injectors. The Bakelite handles feel better to me than the plastic handles on the Gs. For some folks the Es seem a bit aggressive but I do not have any trouble as long as I let the razor do the work. If I start putting pressure on it as I would a disposable I’ll see some red. I use the Chick blades because I cannot seem to get the Personna blades to load in any of my injectors. The Chicks are OK but nothing like the old Schick blades in the heyday of injectors. The Vulfix brush is one I’ve had for quite a while; 10 years I think. It took about 9 months for it to soften up but once it did it became a pleasure to use. It doesn’t lose any hairs, just keeps going and going. I like the TOBS Sandalwood soap. Not only does it smell of Sandalwood but it also has a nice soapy low note and rinses clean. It seems to be lasting forever. The Sandalwood AS is nice also. I probably have one more shave in it then it is gone. I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again or buy the Harris Marlborough. I’ll have to think about it and pick.

I need to look into these Charcoal Goods Razors. Absolutely stunning looks.
I resisted this razor for a while. I thought it looked great, but was unsure about how it would shave. It arrived yesterday, and today was my first shave with it.
I've got to tell you that I'm impressed. Extremely smooth and mild-feeling, but very efficient with the #2 (mid) plate. It's over 10 hours since my shave, and I'm still BBS WTG DFS ATG, zero irritation.
I'll have to use it some more to get used to it (and hopefully resist the urge to immediately order the more aggressive plate), but first impressions are very, very good.
All the best,
Michael P
