Crazy Eights
I decided to try the Fatboy on 8 this morning, since I still have some residual tenderness from yesterday.  I was thinking that eight would be more forgiving than nine, yet shave closer than seven.  I think it is, but not enough to make a big difference.
The Lather Monster made near optimal lather from Savon No. 1 - this is fast becoming a favorite soap for me.  I love the post shave feel, and the scent is a classic.  I am going to get one of his select soaps, hopefully soon.  I finished up with B&M Fougére Tonique and some Shea Moisture balm.  My face feels smooth and still a little tender, but good.

Prep: warm shower
Soap: Cold River Soap Works Savon No. 1
Brush: HIS Lather Monster
Razor: 1959 Gillette Fatboy 8-8-5
Blade: Voskhod (1)
AS: B&M Fougére Tonique
Balm: Shea Moisture Balm

Comments: Today was almost exactly the same as yesterday, except for the soap used!  I did two passes (WTG, XTG), then a cleanup type pass (XTG/ATG), which worked fine! No irritation or nicks!!! I do feel a couple of areas that could have been closer but I will still call it a DFS shave! No issues with the Proraso soap as it works well for me. A very good shave today!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

Thx.
