Nice shower and shave today gents...
...took me time at it too
Dr. Teal’s Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub really is sumpin on the skin, after rinsing off in hot water. Mentioned it before, and highly recommend it. Follow up with the Amlactin for maximum benefit, great hydration, and a younger, more supple look.
Back to the new Karve today, trying out the “D-plate” on three days growth, using a Gillette Yellow 7 O’Clock blade for a second time.
In my case, definitely more blade feel, and not quite as smooth as the “B and C” plates, which, I suppose, is expected.
However, I received certainly one of the closest BBS shaves yet (of any tools I have), with no irritation or weepahs! Reducing pressure, as I work with these greater gaps in the different plates, aids that result.
Likely switch back to the B/C plates for daily shaves, and the D for multi-day growth...we’ll see. The Karve, for me, continues to be a fine instrument, and a great value. Should only get sweeter with experience.
Hot as hell lately, so the soap and the AS today was B&M’s “Arctique”. Burrrr...
Alum, Thayer’s, and Cremo balm to finish the the relaxed event.
Very nice time...
