A couple of years ago I tried two puck’s of the Fat and they were from a dud batch and did not lather. At the suggestion of a friend, I gave it another shot. I am glad I did. The lather was excellent.

I have also become a fairly consistent user of alum. I have come to enjoy the routine / feedback of it.

Finally, I can definitively say I prefer to bowl lather rather than face lather. Just a personal preference of course. The MEF is very hard so I will have to scrape some off and press it into a bowl next time I use it.
