3 days beard growth - SV pre shave oil - Shave Forge 24mm HMW bulb ultra dense - SV Opuntia soap - Carbon Ti “++” base plate - Gillette black 7 o’clock Super Platinum (2) - kokum butter - Opuntia AS - Ethos Colonia sensitive serum

A few notes….I’m liking this dense knot. Usually I don’t care for density to this degree but something is working since I have put it in this handle. I’ll take a photo of it sometime soon. Anyways, I really wanted to use this brush with a hard soap since it’s still getting defunded and breaking in. I was using a lot of soft cream like soaps last year and I was missing the whole act of loading off of a milled puck.

This was the first time in over a year that I used the “++” base plate for all my passes in a shave. I usually use a certain plate for a first pass and change it out for another plate mid shave. It’s no surprise why I fell in love with Carbon. This base plate really cuts nicely and leave my skin smooth with really no beard left and no discomfort. In regards to blades, I’ve been liking the Super Platinum 7 o’clock blades a lot lately. They have a thin feel to them if that makes any sense. Reminded me of my first shaves using Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus. Anyways, I’m just not getting much mileage out of them. Averaging about 3 shaves with them before wanting to switch them. Doesn’t bother me but since I’ve been using blades much more before pitching them, I’ve realized how much mileage I can get out of my current favorites and I can get much more than 3 with many of them.

Nonetheless, a really nice relaxing evening shave for myself. Looking forward to more shave in the new year that are this enjoyable. Hope you all are well and staying safe. Cheers and happy shaving
