Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso - Sandalwood
Soap: Reef Point - Peerless
Bowl: Fine Accoutrements
Brush: Mervyn 24mm silvertip
Razor: Schick Injector Dial Adj @6
Blade: Schick Injector Plus Plat (5)
After: WH, Myrsol Plastic AS, Dapper Soothe Talker ASB

I had a few misgivings about using these NOS Schick Plus Platinum blades. The first couple of shaves I found pretty rough and irritating almost like the blade was dull. Later I decided to change my technique a little and found that using a steeper blade angle (handle closer to face) gave better results. I reckon previously I'd been using such a small angle that the blade was cutting too close. The last few shaves have been much more fun and I've been rewarded with BBS results.

Hope you have a rewarding day too.

Cold River Thursday
Second superb shave with JdO today. The lather loaded and built even more easily today, if that is possible. I put a little hot water on the soap while I prepped, so perhaps that helped the lather and bloomed the amazing scent. I like complex scents, and this is on par with other artisan's offerings. My stubble had not fully recovered from yesterday's shave yet, and it was almost cruel to subject them to the Fatboy, but the resulting drama free BBS made it worth it. The balm is a perfect scent match and compliments the top notch post shave feel. I can see myself getting more soaps and aftershaves from CRSW.
Prep: Van Yulay PSO
Soap: Cold River Soap Works Jardin d'Orange
Brush: HIS Lather Monster
Razor: '59 Fatboy
Blade: Voskhod (3)
AS: Cold River Soap Works Jardin d'Orange balm
