I love that Thater handle. I'm not a fan of their traditional sided handle but that plexi just looks awesome. How's the knot?

Great picture. Nice brush
Thank you Doug. After all you should know. In full disclosure for the rest of the forum, I have been testing the WDC-8 brush handle and installed the Druida knot for testing. Doug, semperfi 45 made the brush handle along with another WDC-6 handle and sent both for me to evaluate. This one hit the size and weight spot on for me.

For Flint Friday
I used Detroit Grooming Company Manistee gel as a pre shave today, and it did the job, though it did dry out and absorb into my skin pretty quickly. The HIS made dense, yogurt-like lather from the soap as I added water slowly during loading. I built the lather on my face right on top of the Manistee. Three smooth and easy passes with the Futur on five left me with dolphin smooth skin. I used the matching aftershave, which was a little bit of a stinger, but calmed down quickly and provided welcome moisture. I finished with Pi Neo to carry on the scent family.
Detroit Grooming Company has opened a barbershop near me, and I’m going to check it out today. We are moving soon, so I have to control my spending, or I would have made an appointment for a straight razor shave there. I might get a haircut.
Prep: Detroit Grooming Company Manistee gel
Soap: Through the Fire Fine Craft For Flint
Brush: HIS Lather Monster
Razor: Merkur Futur 5-5-5
Blade: Voskhod ???
AS: TTFFC For Flint
EdT: Givenchy Pi Neo

The handle's very nice, but the knot has shed more hairs than it should, although it does seems to be settling down after a year or so of usage. It's a very soft knot and not so good at face lathering, better at painting the lather on. Probably should have gone with a larger knot than 21mm.
