Being that it's Clubman Friday I wanted to mix things up so I paired some Clubman Musk with the always wondered Tabac soap.

I did a three-pass shave with some cleanup and earned a nice bbs face. I do have to say though that I'm still feeling a small bit of irritation after a handful of hours. I believe this is most likely due to being a little too aggressive myself with the cleanup. The Persona blade is pretty good, sharp blade if I do say. This definitely played a part.

Overall another really nice shave today.

Back to modernity. Today was a bit of an experimental shave playing with different angles and pressure. Picked up a few weepers and feedback in areas that are normally fine. And conversely just fine in areas normally more at risk. The Zingari Man Gent scent is ultimately not for me. There is a phenolic/band aid smell off the jar that persisted. Great for scotch but not my lather. Enjoyed a first use of House of Mammoth's unscented splash as well (technically Chicago Grooming's Oleo v3 formula). 

And most importantly, I purchased two new to me Schick injector razors today thanks to a fine forum member here. And another outstanding forum member provided a second option. Very happy to participate in this excellent forum!

My first time using Hags and it's a great base. Easy to load and dense slick lather. The scent is a homage to Dior Sauvage. The scent is strong in a good way. This is going to be a staple in my Den. The brush was softer and easier to load today. Not sure if it was breaking in or the soap.

Another first time using Talbot and this scent. Wow, this base is slick and the scent just gets better with time. I bought this set used and unfortunately, the soap started out as only 3oz and I'm not sure how many shaves I can get out of it. I can't seem to find the soap anywhere (maybe it's not out yet for this year) but I have found the splash online the bottle of splash is almost full so I'm good there. I like the scent enough to buy another puck once I find it. 

I hope it's ok I post twice a day because I face shave in the morning than in the afternoon after work I like to relax with a nice head shave. I enjoy using a different soap and splash in the evening most of the time.
