Boy, do I feel lucky. After my buddy sent me this sample of Juniper Reverie I felt stoked. But shaving with it though, put me in another world.

Juniper Reverie is definitely up there with one of the best fragrances in all of wet shaving. At least, in my experience. This release from Gentleman's Nod is right there next to Musashi, Calabria, Cosecha Catalana, and Bluegrass Muse (among G.N.'s other fantastic offerings). Maybe even a notch above. I feel like this may very well be my favorite though it really, honestly, is super hard to pick.

The lather from the C4+ soap base is one of the best available to this day. No joke. It provides exceptional performance and protection. If you haven't tried it, you really should.

The level 5 open-comb Era baseplate is on the aggressive side, especially with a Nacet installed. With a light touch and a lather as good as the one I used, I ended up with nothing but a bbs shave. This turned out to be quite the rewarding shave.

My free-agent aftershave of choice was some Gillette Series Cool Wave. It has a light, fresh scent and was about "the best a...." I won't say it. Lol. But it was the best I could pair. And a decent pairing at that.
