My New Year's shave: Out with the old, in with the new

Barrister and Mann Leviathan
Saponificio Varesino 2.0 in Cocobolo

Wow, how did you already use up that 2016 Leviathan?  Scoop out the remainder, pack it into the new one, and shave on!

I've heard that Leviathan is one of those love it or hate it fragrances. I'm in the 'love it' camp. Couple that with mainly 28 and 30 mm badgers, heavy loading, and voila, a completed soap. Even at that rate, I'm good with soaps for a few more decades Smile

I've already scooped it out and added it to the new one. I might have a hoarding issue, because I haven't thrown out the empty yet! That might explain the stacks of soaps...

Don't throw out the empty, re-use it. Some soaps like Mystic Water or Mike's Natural are available in puck form without a container. They're a bit cheaper and you can just press them into the old, empty tubs you have. Save money, save the environment, win - win!

Classic old school scent with superb performance.
Dr. Jon makes some excellent soap and aftershave. Smooth and easy shave with Maggard's Slant gliding through optimal lather. The aftershave is very soothing.
Prep: Myrsol Emulsion
Soap: Dr. Jon's 1803
Brush: Brothers Bristles Bronze Shadow
Razor: Maggard's Slant
Blade: voskhod

The Standard 160 Goodwill seemed to struggle a bit more on the crown stubble than the Single Ring yesterday, but still a very enjoyable BBS using the meadofoam/avocado/aloe mix. Those with a lather peaks fetish need not apply but it sure gets the job done.[Image: 3542b3990bdcba3c685fb8a8db4ee051.jpg]
