I'm culling my DE collection and making some tough calls about what stays and what goes!

I'm selling my Above the Tie open-comb slant (S2) with Kronos handle. Excellent condition. This is the original S2 cap design before Stan adjusted it to have the blade appear more covered, but this shaves wonderfully (some have said better than the adjusted design, which was apparently to appease those who worried about how the blade looked). With a blade installed it will indeed show asymmetrical exposure, exactly as designed. This is a smooth-yet-efficient razor!

Selling it for $120 including shipping, CONUS only. This includes the original box.

Hi, was it the same for the S1 cap as well. I have two caps for my ATT  S1. One of the caps has more blade exposure at one end than the other end. The other has equal blade exposure cross the blade.

Yes, the cap on this razor is the same cap originally used on the S1 as well. Though the cap makes it look as if there's more blade exposure at one end, the blade is actually properly exposed across the edge, very much by design, and it shaves wonderfully. This was Stan's original design, which I believe many people still prefer. From what I remember he changed the cap design to not "show so much blade" because people kept thinking there was something wrong (even though there wasn't).

Cheers mate thanks for clearing that up for me. I was a bit scared to use it as it does look odd, but now I will give it a go.

As long as they're both S1/S2 caps designed for the slant base plate. A non-slant ATT cap won't work.
