For the money it's hard to beat a Palmolive shave stick for pure performance. Never given me a bad shave.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Tabac was very popular when I started wetshaving. It's still talked about but not nearly as much.

And still one of my favorites. Creamy, slick, and almost lathers itself. I honestly find it hangs with the newer, hotter soaps.

Exactly. And it smells great too.

The only thing that ever kept me from buying Tabac was the scent. I've never actually smelled it, but it didn't sound like something I wanted to blind buy.

XXX was all the rage when I first started. Now you hardly see it or any other RazoRock soap for that matter.

I'd be happy to scrape you off a sample, IMO the performance of Tabac is as good as any artisan soap out there

RR had so much confusion behind it (is this the one supposedly just AdP? TFS? Why is this scent limited edition?) that I stopped tuning in a long time ago. Kind of the same reason I never got into Mama Bear, way too many products.

I think the product line in my den with the most scents/types is DR Harris.

And Razorock makes some great soaps! The What the Puck triple milled are awesome performers and smell great.

Great post. Want to try Calani. Love me some Gingers Garden. Nancy Boy cream [blossumwood] is solid. Chiseled Face, TFS, shannon soaps, and St Charles shaves are a few I still rotate thru that are off the radar these days.
