1. Barrister and Mann Reserve- very slick and amazing post shave for skin; a little harder to load.

2. Barrister and Mann Glissant - slicker than number 3 but not quite as good post shave but still really good. Mindless to load.

3. Catie’s Bubbles luxury- really solid slickness with enough water and great post shave for skin.

Hope this helps!

I will not mention any old NOS soaps so my vote goes for these two:

1. Viking shave soap (latest incarnation since last Spring)

2. Sudsy Soapery

I just cannot understand how Viking doesn't get more "traction" as, at least for my fiendishly handsome face, it is the best bang for the buck in American soap.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Thanks guys.
Nobody mentioned the fat...
One soap i have not yet tried is mitchells wool fat.
I hear it leaves your skin feeling really soft.

Thank you for the explanation and I have to admit I learned something today about metals. I love my 17-4 and think it was worth every penny. I’m very excited to see what you have in store when it comes to SE razors!

Same here.

I like those two for sure and will add Mikes and Saponificio Varesino.
