Until I saw Joes announcement of the price of The Hawk I didn't think I was going to get a chance at buying a Feather AC blade type razor with the current offerings. $20 is just awesome.  I really have no desire to spend $100-$200 on a razor.  I have my name on the list. I hope that if I don't get the chance to buy one that there will be another batch.

I got the Schick injector razors and now trying to decide which GEM I would like to try for and then hopefully The Hawk and maybe that will calm the RAD beast within.

I have looked at gem razors in the past, to be honest I haven't spent much time or research on single edge razors. Most of my knowledge and collection is vintage Gillette. The demand for single edge seems to be gaining ground. Have seen a lot of posts lately, and noticed new razors hitting the market. I think I'm ready to give it a try. Trying to figure out which route to take.

Between the hawk and wunderbar I am awaiting some emails for Razorock. The dead sea has got my attention as well. Can't beat Razorock for their prices

I lucked up and scored a heck of a deal on a Alumigoose on the BST.Fantastic razor IMHO,yes I would be hesitant to jump on one at the $99 asking price but after using it for some time I can highly recommend it even at the retail price.Buy it,if it isn't for you I bet you would have no problem getting most of your money back on the BST.
I enjoy mine so much I am considering unloading all of my DE razors.Good luck!!!

That's just what you need is another razor habit. You probably are going to need a whole other collection of soaps too. Personally I think you should go whole hog and buy one of those safety razors that has 4 blades on it. Maybe see if you can get the machine shop to make you one with 10 blades on it. Big Grin

I picked up a GEM 1912 for the price of a Starbucks coffee recently and used it for the first time today. It gave a great shave with no issues whatsoever. To the OP, I'd suggest you read some forum posts on the GEM and watch some YouTube demo/reviews to get an idea of how to drive one then jump right in.
