Here in New England they have many ways of predicting winter. From the "Old Farmers Almanac", band width on fuzzy caterpillars and bird migrations to the actual winter solstice people think they know when and what the winter will hold.

I have them all beat with my personal forecasting system. Normally my wife sleeps in dainty nightwear. But some internal mechanism causes her to switch to a long flannel granny type night gown as her bed attire. She also steals my share of the blankets in the middle of the night. I call it the return of the "Flannel Breasted Cover Snatcher" and she showed up last night. So an early winter is expected Wink
