I recently saw that Shield Razors is selling their titanium razors for about $84 and razor heads for about $62 on their Ali Express store. I placed an order on July 14 and received it on July 27. I used the razor for the first time today, so I thought I'd post some pictures and thoughts on the shave.

Short version: The first shave on my head and face was pretty decent. The razor felt great on WTG passes. I think I used too steep of an angle at times on other passes, which made those passes less comfortable.

Long version: I loaded the razor with a second use Personna lab blue and lathered House of Mammoth Shire directly on my head and face with my Opus Shaving brush. I was really impressed with the WTG pass on my head. I was able to complete that pass a lot quicker than I usually can with a new, unfamiliar razor. There was a bit of blade feel and a good amount of audible feedback. The next pass (ATG) was a bit slower, and I found myself having to concentrate on the angle of the razor more. The end result was pretty good.

Moving to my face, the WTG pass was again pretty quick and comfortable. On the XTG and ATG passes, things got significantly less comfortable if I used too steep of an angle. This was definitely user error and not a knock on the razor. I had a similar experience when I tried out a couple Carbon razors. As you can see in the pictures, the blade sits pretty flat and doesn't have much curvature. When I kept a shallow angle (riding the cap), the shave was great. If I let the blade angle get too steep, it felt like the blade was scraping/rough. I ended up with a few weepers and some irritation as a result. I'm sure my next shave with this razor will be better now that I have a better feel for the correct angle.
