If you’re trying to get a DE through security, you may as well hang it up. In my experience they’ll catch you about 80% of the time. My personal favorite for travel is the old Gillette Sensor. You can get new handles on Amazon or you can get the totally cool looking old ones on eBay. If I must shave with a cart, despite my best efforts, it’s the Gillette Sensor.

That’s a good question Lesser
It looks like SE’s are a grey area but my guess is the AC blades would be need to be checked. But I’m not certain.
Here are the rules:
- Safety Razors: Because the razor blades are so easy to remove, safety razors are not permitted in your carry-on luggage with the blade. They’re fine to pack in your carry-on without the blade. The blades must be stored in your checked luggage. The same applies for straight razors.
- Disposable Razors: Disposable razors come in two types. The kind that is completely disposable (handle and all), or the kind where you replace them with cartridges. These are permissible in carry-on luggage with the blade and replacement cartridges.
- Electric Razors: Electric razors are permitted in both checked and carry-on bags.

Lipripper660 is this a razor you would do a typical 3 pass shave with? Thanks

I've not used a Guard but have always heard good things about them.
They definitely can. I HATE checking luggage and have carried cartridge razors on for years for both domestic and international travel with no issues.
