I did it! 30 days of single edge shaves!! Woo hoo! (sorry for the excitement, but I haven't been too successful on these 30 day journeys  Undecided so I am celebrating no missed days and all SE razors!)

SEptember 30th Shave

I did one planned switch, from using the Hawk all week to using the General once. Yesterday I had a really good, hydrated lather, and wanted to repeat it today with the General. So I moved the Proline (5) over to the General.
Unplanned was the switch from the brush shown, the Aurora Borealis handle with the G5A knot to the striped birch 26mm Cashmere. I am thinking of trying the G5A set even higher to increase splay, and I hope to do that today. Figured a dry knot would be easier to work with.

Overall, RCS and refreshed! I recently added some Stirling unscented aftershave balm, and it did the trick to make me feel even better! I also have added the Zingari Man balm, the non-Sego one, and it is fantastic as well, and a little lighter. All set now for another Maine winter!

But it is still September, so happy Fall all! Let's enjoy it while we can. although with wind and rain here, not sure what kind of Fall Foliage we'll be left with.

After arriving yesterday, I put this little gem to use this morning (see what I did there? Funny, right?!)

Contour
Personna GEM (1)
Canada Shaving Soap

A great first outing for the Contour! Mild and very audible. Very light, like an injector. is this preparing me for a Henson aluminum razor??? lol
I foresee this razor being one to reach for when I need/want a relaxed, easygoing shave and I am not worried about lasting smoothness. It was just what I needed this morning.

Regarding today, we had tentatively planned a trip to Boston to meet with the cancer team. But, after Monday's procedure (an ERCP for the curious), the specialist liked what he visually saw, and was fairly certain we weren't looking at a worse-case scenario. He suggested postponing Friday's team meeting until after the results, thinking that would be easier for us. But I had already applied for Medical Leave for today, so we settled on coming today IF the biopsies told a different story than what was seen.

We did not receive a call regarding the results, so we didn't go. The results may be delayed, who knows. But my wife is more settled, thinking maybe this isn't as dire as we thought.

So today is a mental health day for us to rest and recoup. I work the weekend, and it is nice having a day with no appointments other than household chores. And I get to spend time here!

Hope your Friday is good and the weekend better!

Thanks, guys! Yes, brighter and a day of rest. My mental health has been better, but today will help recharge the battery!

One thing that helped was setting some knots just now. Photos soon, want to let the silicone firm up a bit first!
