I have been reading a lot of great reviews regarding this line, and have come to really appreciate posts by Dragonsbeard. But I was unaware that he had an unscented version. So, in the cart and PayPal away!

But the something different was shaving late, for the second time today. We have to be up and out before, as my brother would say, the buttcrack of dawn for a medical appointment in the southern part of the state. I only did 2 passes with the Parker adjustable injector, Schick blade on it's 10th shave. Very nice, with just a tiny bit of irritation in the area that has most rosacea issues. But clean and smooth for the snooze! Sleep well, my friends, and I will update tomorrow.

Hope all goes well with the appointment and you should try Franks Dragonsbeard Skin Food Splash as it is a miracle concoction. Don't know what it would do for rosacea but helps my skin better than ANYTHING else I've used feel better. I heard it cures cancer too Big Grin

A quick update on the procedure, all went well! Maybe even better than that. She is home and resting, eating, and watching her guilty pleasure shows! Me, I'm pooped but looking forward to tomorrow's shave. Indecision plaguing me, and Dave in KY(probably) unintentionally caused it. I put a GEM blade first in the Sabre. Then later moved it to the G bar. And just now put it in the Clog Pruf! I really want to use them all Now. No patience have I. And new plates for the Yates, along with the stubby handle. Man, I need therapy. Oh, wait, already doing that. I wonder what my doc's response would be if next time I start talking shaving dilemmas?!

That's great news about your wife Eric.  Thank God it went well!  Don't forget to take care of Eric too.  He's been through a lot lately.

Thanks, Mike. It's funny you say that about caring for me! I have been doing cognitive behavioral therapy for almost a year now, and the area I am not doing better in is caring for me! Both my doc and my wife keep telling me I need to do things I love on occasion, like star-gazing (my passion/hobby before this current one). I need to let them know that this band of shavers is great for me and I do see it as therapy of another sort. I appreciate your comments so much, thanks again, brother!

Thanks, Dave. I did (finally) slow done the squirrel in cage that is supposed to be my mind.  Had some sleep, and woke up knowing that the Sabre was to be the one first, as I had 36 hours of stubble and a long work day. It went well, more on that later!

This morning's shave was a first time GEM razor shave for me, courtesy of Dave Dave in KY. I decided to go for the gusto and use the Blackland Razors Sabre that Dave so kindly let me. I had been going back and forth on this because it was a work morning and I wanted to not feel rushed. But I also had 36 hours of stubble to get through, and that would be a good test. Also, the Vector, to my face, has a lot of blade feel, and I was worried about the level 2 plate being too much for my mug.

But none of those fears came to pass. The razor seemed intuitive, and I had an awesome shave, with only a little irritation that was due to friggin' acne!

I see a Sabre in my future!

Glad you liked it. I've been on the fence about keeping it as it's a little mild for me, So check with me if you decide to get one. I bought at Black Friday price so would pass that on  Happy2

Oops, I did it again.  Blush  During a coffe break this morning I placed an order for the Whole Kit & Kaboodle, including the stand. I was soooo pleased, and given the trial period, decided to Buy It Now.  Sorry. But I am gussing that level 1 may be a good fit for me, with level 2 being for work days.

Wonderful shaves both yesterday and today. Set up for today:

I like the unscented House of Mammoth Z, and the scuttle made it warm and comfy!
My wife says that I am the closest shaved pharmacist, it's too bad your mask covers it up. I said that's why I so closely shaved, it makes wearing the mask more comfortable. In any case, it was pleasant to hear that from her, as she originally thought it was crazy to get up earlier than usual to shave 3 times! But I think she gets it now, and likes it. As Tim MilkCrate says, Life is good!
