Eric, for the people that have messaged you that they want to purchase a razor, where will the buy button be? On the Janus website?

On the home page at the top where one sees JANUS, WHY JANUS, FEATURES, SHOP will be next. A click on SHOP will take one to the buy page.

I'm getting close to getting all 51 spoken for so it won't be much longer.

It will be mirror finished?  I know the picture is a CAD rendering and not a photo as some have indicated.

James I can’t comment on the lube port as that’s a question for Eric but I know based on a conversation we had yesterday that yes the razor will have a mirror finish on it as I’ve asked the question myself more than once and  yesterday to confirm it.

I’d like to hear about the lube port myself now that you’ve asked the question.

The lube port is gone. After talking to folks at the Maggard Meet, I realized I can request experienced shavers like Dragonsbeard to do a write-up or video on how to keep the Janus in tip-top shape. This is inline with what they are passionate about - educating and sharing knowledge.

I haven't received any message about the image being misleading. I clearly shared it is a render, and why I like going through the rendering process..."Even though the actual product might be a shade off from the render, I like going through this process. For me, it is like beginning with the end in mind…how is the product gonna look like when it is manufactured?" Please, help me understand where you thought I might have been misleading or confusing.

One thing that might have been lost in the messages is that this limited edition is not PVD coated. Instead, it is polished.

No confusion from you, someone else called it a "photo", which it is not. The guy with a passion for educating people.

Smart move on the port....totally unnecessary.

Thank you Eric and I’m glad I was one of the folks you picked to take the Prototype for a few spins! I very much enjoyed all my shaves with the Janus and look forward to having one in my den!

Dragonsbeard , I'm glad one of the forum members connected me with you. I enjoyed chatting with you and the other DFS members at the Maggard Meet. Thanks for helping me with my technique after my 'horror' shaving video and the blade recommendations. Feathers still don't work for me. However, I have ditched Derbys for GSBs.

I appreciated the help with co-coordinating the prototype testing, the candid feedback on the Janus Prototype especially on the things that needed tweaking (ditching the lube port, adding blade exposure and reexamining weight of the razor) and confirming things I got right on the first swing.

Thanks for reserving a Janus. I appreciate the support.

Janus Razors Eric- you continue to bring up my comments about your Shave Video as well the fact that you had originally designed the Janus to be used with Derby’s. To me as a potential Customer these were very legitimate concerns, especially since your Razor was unknown and unproven. Hopefully you won’t continue to hold this against me. I’ve been following this thread closely and have read all of the reviews that members such as Dragonsbeard have posted about your prototype. I like the fact that you have listened to some of the members here with lots of experience with vintage Toggles such as LOOT who recommended you get rid of the lube port since it was “an answer to a problem that didn’t exist”. I would like to support this project based on their reviews and the information you’ve shared with us, and have sent you a PM requesting to reserve one of your Razors (unfortunately my lucky #44 was already spoken for  Rolleyes). I look forward to trying out one of your new Razors for myself!
