She gone! I done with this thing. I had a terrible time this morning making a lather with it and never did get a good lather after 10mins. It bothered me all day so I came home, soaked the brush for about 15-20mins, opened my Stirling Barbershop, and practice lathered for about 30 mins. I used the Marko method, the gravity drip method, and squeezed the water out to use a dryer brush. Loaded every time at least 90 seconds. Never got a good lather. I've used this thing since Christmas, had some great shaves with it; but, my synthetics and boar are just EASY to make lather and I just fight with this thing. Not worth it. What sucks is that I love the way it looks and feels.

It really is unfortunate that you couldn't get on with the Semogue 610. It is a lovely little brush.
Enjoy your others. Shy

I would shelve it and perhaps revisit later- might find that the planets align and that it has decided to cooperate. In the meantime, enjoy your synthetics etc. bgremill !

I agree with this ^^^

Boars need more water. MUCH more water than synthetics. I soak my boars for 5 minutes or more before loading them, and I load them MUCH wetter than my synthetic. It's just the way they are.

I hope you are able to work out your differences!

I agree with the wetness factor. At first, I always thought my boar was TOO wet and needed to be drier. Then, one time I let it drip for a minute and went to it. It was wet and sloppy for a little bit and then it loaded up beautifully and with a little water added every pass, a lovely lather for 3 passes.

I've had the same experience that Charlie NEPA and BadDad mention. Boar brushes should be loaded with more water than one would use with a badger brush.
