The only thing I miss is watching the lathering process especially with an unfamiliar soap. One can usually tell the ease of the lather in the first  minute. So please consider adding that back in.

Thank you very much sir, I'll definitely consider it.

The only exception to this is BST sales.  I do move products that I either don't use anymore or don't like on BST forums but that's itSmile

I am a great admirer of yours, Chris and I myself enjoy your honesty in regard to your evaluation of the products you have. I take your recommendations seriously even if I disagree sometimes with your assessments. I am truly grateful  for people like you, Nickshaves, Busta, The Stallion, Razor Emporium and Shave the Man to name a few. Don't listen to the haters and keep the videos a coming!

I'll share my experience with you all (as an artisan).

Before speaking with Chris, I had already been contacted by a dozen or so YouTube reviewers and lifestyle bloggers. While they all produced good content, I was really looking for someone to give me their honest opinion - good or bad. I've been watching the TSE videos for a while now and have always gotten a good vibe from Chris, so I reached out to him.

I was told (warned) that I'd be given his honest feedback. He did extend the courtesy to me that if his opinion was completely abysmal, he'd share his thoughts with me privately. He accepted my offer for a free tin, but before I could ask him, he let me know he wouldn't be keeping it and instead passing it around to others in the community. That's great for me. Most people take my soap and keep it, meaning I have to send out even more and cover additional shipping expenses.

But he really caught me off guard by declining a promo code for his channel as a thank you for his feedback. That's a top notch move. And while I was fully prepared to honor it, his response was refreshing to say the least.

Thanks for the kind words.  By the way, Ray Pope used your soap a week or so ago and he's sending it on to Jammin Gi. James.  It's finally making the rounds.   Ray had some dryness issues with his skin but I do not think it was related to the soap.  He said he'd been using his pool quite a lot and I believe it's related to that.

I am a moderator of an other forum (not shave related) and I can tell you from experience that feeding trolls can be a real downfall to a person.  I just keep it in my mind that this is the internet, or 'virtual' place (almost or nearly as described, but not completely or according to strict definition), and being a 'virtual' place, many find it very easy to give their bad impressions and attempt to bring others down to their level.  Believe you me, when and if you were to ever see these folks in person, they would NOT say these things to your face; as I have experienced in organizing and participating in get togethers and such. (if they even show up, Lol)

So anyway, just keep on going with what you are doing, don't take the troll comments seriously, and believe me when I say that there are tons of people who enjoy your channel and content, and the help you have shown to others is much appreciated!

Thank you for the words.  Generally the only time I respond is when something is attributed to me that is not true.  False attributions that go unchecked can take on a life of their ownSmile  The name calling, trolling and all that stuff I ignore.

Thanks for the update. I saw Ray's concerns with dryness and while it's contrary to all the other feedback I've gotten, YMMV can certainly be a factor. I'm ok with that. Hopefully it's just an issue with the pool since he mentioned a similar experience with another soap.

Yes and he said he had used soaps from the other brands a number of times without issue.  I would chalk it up to environmental factors and not the soap.
