Gentlemen,

I was gifted a sample of the Sebum Tonka Shave Soap and Serum from a generous pal on the boards.

The fragrance is of buttery almonds and a light cinnamon.  I really enjoyed it!

The performance is stunningly elite in every category.  This is THE BEST performing soap I have ever used.

The end result of this shave was an irritation free BBS, and the post-shave feel was wonderful.

I don’t know what else I can say, so below are the lather pics!

Gents,

I am happy to confirm that my initial impression of this soap was spot on.  This is the best shave soap that I have ever used.  I was able to easily duplicate the lather quality in this shave.

I used quite a bit less soap this time, and I still had enough left over for two passes after the first three.

What does this set smell like? Tonka has a vanilla like quality?

It smells like a light vanilla almond with a hint of cinnamon in the background.

I really like it!

Amazing looking lather, Matt!

Do you remember how many mls of water you used for that lather?

Thanks in advance!
All the best,

Hi Michael!

Thanks, and I sure do...I used 5ml of distilled water this time to make the lather in these most recent pics.  I also added a few drops to the brush here and there as I was painting it on my face.  It worked out quite well!

Have a great week!

That is quite some friend you have; most generous!

There are a lot of people people who balk at spending $30 on a luxury soap. I wonder how they would feel about spending $65. Of course, the jar does contain 7 ounces rather than the typical 4-5. Using high quality ingredients is expensive, but the results can be amazing.

Considering the number of soaps I have in my den, I am unlikely to purchase a tub of Sebum at that price, no matter how good it might be. However, that does not prevent me from wanting to see how good it is.
